We are saddened by the loss of another active and well-known breeder of Suffolk sheep in Wales. Dai Harvey of the Hawkesridge Flock passed away last week following a sustained period of illness. Dai joined the Society in 1991 and did so much to lift the profile of the Suffolk breed and breeders in the area, and in Wales.
For many years Dai was the Chair of the Welsh Borders Suffolk Breeders Club, being very active in organising some great days out that were enjoyed by many. Di and his wife Ann for many years manned the stand at the Royal Welsh show extending a warm welcome to visitors and breeders alike.
We are sure that you will wish to send your best wishes to Dai’s wife Ann and their extended family at this sad and difficult time.
