Leading the way in the Male of the year was a tup lamb from
Stewart Lathangie, Pyeston. Picking up the female of year was a
Scottish Area pair of ewes from Caroline Nelson, Rosepark and Craig Patterson,
Cranorskie. Well done to all those who took part and we look forward
to running the competition again in 2020 under a new format.

Suffolk rams proved to be in high demand at the Scottish Branch

to the judge. The next four lots to reach the five figure sum were
all sired by 2018 Stirling Sale Champion and top price, Limestone
Aston Martin. The first being from Aston Martin’s breeder, Mark
Priestly. His pre-sale show Reserve champion traded away at
23,000gns to Seumus Brane for his Errigal flock. Next up and
kicking off a tremendous days trading for the Wilson families
Castleisle flock was a trio of lambs topping off at 21,000gns
selling to C Holmes, Rookery. Following on at 20,000gns to Messrs
Okeefe and finally 16,000gns to the Birness and Strathbogie flocks.
